I have been eyeing the Zuri website for a while, wondering “is this style for me?“ And then I saw Skylark. The colors shouted my name! I first wore it to my husband‘s high school reunion in New England, and as soon as we rounded the corner into a courtyard full of happy hour guests, a woman approached me with a huge smile and and asked “is that Zuri?! You look fabulous!” Though it is wonderful on its own with sandals, I especially love to wear it with my aqua leggings and tan leather LLBean sneakers (as seen here in Florida)!

As is often the case for me, I don't notice a particular dress until another Zurista posts a photo of it and suddenly it comes into focus. Skylark revealed itself to me that way; and the wondrous Zuri team generously helped me find the pattern placement that spoke to me: a feeling of flow, as if the strands of different colors are reeds in a stream, flowing harmonioulsy. The literal inteleaving of petals of different colors creates an effect of depth and motion. And the diversity of hues opens up lots of possibilities for pairing with shoes and accessories. It is a joy to add this beauty to my collection.

Opening day for my first solo show at @MFAH @Glassell School of Art in the Houston Museum District. My exhibit - largely oil painting on stretched canvas - is called Bodies of Water and is housed on the third floor Orton Gallery of this award winning building. I walked up the stairs to the roof to look down at both my work and the city skyline - I am not sure but there must have been a skylark fluttering close by.
