I often see these recycled glass beads used in handicrafts and jewelry but rarely as a full strand and now I know why - they’re pretty heavy! I would say one strand is at least 1.5 to 2 lbs. - they’re just large enough to fit over my head and wear like a lei. I had some fun at the Fillmore store where I wore two of the glass beads and one of bone necklaces - also very weighty. The combined weight of the three was excessive but also comforting!
I like wearing this as is, but if and when the string breaks or frays over time I’ll definitely either re-string or repurpose the beads for other projects. They’re so pretty!

I loved the mottled look and beautiful color of these mold-made beads. Sadly, when I tried them on I had to take them off after just a few minutes. They were much too heavy for me to wear. Hopefully others will be able to.

I love these beads. They are wonderfully heavy, of unpolished blue-green glass that the light shines through beautifully. The length is perfect, and these beads go well with many of my clothes. I wasn't sure what they would be like when I ordered them, but now I'm very glad I did!
