    Printed batik fabric

In order to create a batik fabric, recycled wax is melted and applied to the fabric using a stamped pattern. Edwina carves each stamped design herself in foam, which is easier to repurpose and work with than wood. Together with several women in Accra, Ghana, Edwina and her team always create designs that play on both pattern and layered color in a truly original way. Since we began working together in 2018, we've produced over 40 unique textiles together, keeping them in continuous production since we started. We're so honored to share this collaboration with Edwina and her team!

Everything you’ve ever wanted in one dress

Emusing is one of my favorite Zuris. It’s a noun print. It’s batik. It’s the softest, medium-light (smedium) fabric. And it’s so cool — what else are you going to wear that both teenagers and random adults yell out how cool you are?

      So fun!

Seriously, who couldn’t spare smile for these big cheeky birds in pink and white? I wanted this whimsical dress since I saw a scrap of a fabric before production on social media and it’s even more fabulous in person! Fits perfectly, the background is a cool dark grey. It goes with many colors and is extra drape-y. Pictured in artificial and natural light both. Love!

      Emusing is Amazing!

I love the emus and batik fabric. Just LOVE. 😍 I wear size 14/16 with 38DD bust. I bought medium on Emusing dress. I like to wear Zuri dresses as duster. This was my first batik dress and won't be my last.

      My First Batik

Emusing is my first batik from Zuri and I love it. I looked at this one so many times and finally decided to go for it. I’m glad I did! The fabric is nice and light, but still has a good amount of stiffness. I bought a large, but medium would have worked, too.
