Luminescence

Really love this one. This pattern dresses up really nicely. I bought it specifically for attending a special event and it was perfect.

I am usually between an L and M and this M fit really well. I marked true to size because I guessed right based on how the dresses have fit recently and over time. This fit how I anticipated that it would.

I love this design!! The green vines are not as bright as they appear online—in person, the teal green seems to recede into the black, which I like. However, the two tones of the pink leaves really pop!

I styled it with silver jewelry, black jeggings and boots, and a black camisole. When the weather warms up, I’ll wear it with leggings and flats or bare-legged with black espadrilles. As much as I Iove the band collar, I turn it down to make lapels which open up the neckline and elongate my short neck. The fabric is thick enough to stay down so there’s no need to iron down the lapels! That’s another thing I love about Zuris—you don’t need to iron them!

Fit is great—I’ve lost a little bit of weight since I first started ordering Zuris almost a year ago, so I’ve come down from S to XS. The XS fits well in the shoulders and bust (I’m a 36A bra size). But I have a bit of a belly, so I love that the dress is meant to be airy and loose and “stand away from the body” because it perfectly conceals my belly without looking like a sack!

This dress is extremely versatile—I wore it to my family’s Christmas party and got a bunch of compliments, to church, a dressy brunch, and I plan on wearing it to the theater this weekend! This is definitely my “go-to” Zuri dress!!!

I love the print! It’s tiny and beautiful and the pink and green work really well against the black background. The fabric is soft and comfy. I’m knocking off one star because of the little “horns” that appear on my shoulders when I raise my arms. There’s something definitely odd about cut of the pattern at the shoulders. I think adjustments were made to ease movement, but the result was horns instead. Needs some improvement, but not enough for me to return it.
