When Empire State launched, the photos on the website appeared too bright for me. A month ago I spotted one of the last remaining dresses on the rack at Bleecker. The colors are much deeper, more wearable for me. And then I couldn’t get it out of my mind. Once home, I contacted Charlotte, and although it was not in my usual size, measurements revealed that it would indeed fit. I think it will be perfect to wear as I work the polls every Election Day.

Empire State (1X Long) is one of my favorite ZURI dresses! Besides wearing it as a lovely dress, I particularly like it open as a duster with Black or Purple underneath. It happens to work well for cheering on my alma mater, the University of Washington! "mighty are the ones who wear the purple and the gold". The range of this dress is incredible -- elegant yet not overwhelming! The yellow is more gold / mustard than bright yellow and balances the purple well. I'll be wearing this for years to come!

Empire State's colours are definitely NOT for my skin tone, but I had to have it! I was happy to snag the last one in my size. The designs on the pattern are so beautiful, I should hang it up as a piece of art.
