チェイクホナは、染色前にデザインを生地に手縫いするシチバと呼ばれるステッチレジスト技術を使用しています。ご想像のとおり、これは非常に時間のかかる練習ですが、結果は素晴らしいものになります。時間がかかるだけでなく、技術の複雑さのせいで、シティバはもうほとんど生産されません。 Cheihkouna は、何世紀にもわたるこの技術を実践するダカールの最後の染色職人の 1 人で、見習いを訓練しながら、私たちの製品を作るためにすべての生地を自分で縫いました。

This dress is a work of art! The sitiba dyeing is amazing! The simple, elegant pattern is very versatile. Also, the fabric is lightweight and soft right out of the package. It will be particularly nice to wear in the spring and summer months.

I love this one! The sitiba dye method is interesting
and I love to contribute to such a monumental element of African art history! It is flattering “on”, elegant, and accessory-friendly to the hilt. The cotton is soft, with an exceptionally fine drape. The usual 15 or 20 compliments every time I wear it. You done went and done it again, Zuri!
