In order to create a batik fabric, recycled wax is melted and applied to the fabric using a stamped pattern. Edwina carves each stamped design herself in foam, which is easier to repurpose and work with than wood. Together with several women in Accra, Ghana, Edwina and her team always create designs that play on both pattern and layered color in a truly original way. Since we began working together in 2018, we've produced over 40 unique textiles together, keeping them in continuous production since we started. We're so honored to share this collaboration with Edwina and her team!

I absolutely love the Say Cheese Shirt. I pondered it for several weeks before I ordered. I bought the same size (small) as I wear in the Zuri dresses. The color is gorgeous and vibrant, the material is comfortable and the generous cut is extremely flattering. I will definitely purchase another long sleeved shirt. Thanks Zuri for making me feel beautiful in my clothes.

This batik shirt is such a bright vivid yellow! It literally feels like radiating sunshine wearing this. I purchased this because I love the color yellow, but I ended up exchanging it for another print - mostly because the white print of the cheese and computer mouse motifs don't stand out at all - you have to look really close to see what they are. I may return to this one if it comes out in a different colorway where the contrast is more apparent and you can see the print better.
