I bought Moon River several months ago thinking that it was the perfect spring dress. Well, today is Easter and Moon River’s time has come despite the still chill temperatures. The white is blinding in the bright sun and I’m right at home with the crocuses and daffodils…oops, it’s California so make that poppies and ceanothus (California lilac). It’s a nice medium-bodied fabric that will soften up with wear and washing and at first glance it looks like a batik, but it’s not. At the moment I’m wearing a long-sleeved navy wool dress under it because it’s a chilly day but for warmer weather I’m thinking white or maybe one of my brightly-colored sleeveless Zuri’s. It’s a good dress to wear any time and can be fancied up with some silver jewelry if necessary. I anticipate wearing it often.

This is both an easy to wear but somehow fun & rich pattern. The royal blue is so cheerful with the white dots & black crackle effect. First wear was to sit on a jury today was ‘just for fun’
